Welcome! At Madison Legal Solutions, our primary goal is to provide cost-effective alternatives to the expensive, time-consuming litigation process and to restore control of the dispute resolution process back to the parties.
Founder, April Madison-Ramsey, has been doing this for a long time. With more than thirty years of HR training, compliance, policy development as well as litigation management, risk assessment and alternative dispute resolution experience, she is confident there is a better way to resolve disputes. Prevention and early intervention are two sides of the same coin.
April's background spans both sides of the table — from in-house counsel roles where she advised leadership on risk, policy, and people strategy, to litigation where she saw firsthand what happens when disputes escalate beyond anyone's control. That dual perspective shapes everything she does as a neutral. She understands what it costs organizations — financially, operationally, and culturally — when conflict goes unresolved, and she knows how to help parties find a way through before it gets there.
April knows that once a lawsuit is filed, control often slips away. Her in-house experience gives her insight into how organizations make decisions under pressure, while her litigation background keeps her grounded in what courts, juries, and legal exposure actually look like. Together, those lenses make her an especially effective mediator — one who speaks the language of both business leadership and legal counsel, and who helps parties see past their positions to the practical outcomes that matter most.
